March 22-31 2010 - Hong Kong - Raymond Red Retrospective screenings at the 34th HONG KONG International Film Festival featuring a program of his early short films, and his features SAKAY (1993), KAMADA (1997), and HIMPAPAWID (2009). February 2010 - HIMPAPAWID garners 10 nominations for the upcoming 33rd GAWAD URIAN (Filipino Film Critics Awards). The awards night will be on April 29 2010.
February 2010 - Raymond Red contributes a short film to the ABS-CBN / ANC "AmBisyon 2010" Project, an omnibus of 20 shorts by 20 independent filmmakers focusing on 10 relevant issues meant as a wake up call to the voting public before the May Elections.

- December 5-6 2009 Raymond Red shares his film production expertise at a 2-day workshop at the SHIFT/The ONE School Makati.
October 15-25 2009 - HIMPAPAWID (Manila Skies) was an Official Selection in the main competition of the 22nd TOKYO International Film Festival held from October 17 - 25. It is the first time a Filipino film is in the main competition of Tokyo. Red's 1992 BAYANI was in the Young Cinema competition 17 years ago. HIMPAPAWID was enthusiastically received by the festival audience and critics and programmers alike. The Q&A sessions and the press conference produced the most sincere responses, viewers admitted they were moved to tears by the film. HIMPAPAWID is soon to be exhibited (apart from its Philippine release) in its Middle Eastern, European, and North American premieres.
August 13, 2009: Raymond Red was a special guest at the BMW Shorties Gala Night held at the Ritz Carlton Ballroom, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

December '08 - Unico's CineFilipino label has finally released the DVD of Raymond Red's historical classic "SAKAY" (on it's 15th anniversary), the bio-pic of the revolutionary hero Macario Sakay. Although this is not yet the full digital remaster, the DVD is of excellent quality mastered from a fairly good quality 35mm print. The SAKAY dvd is available through bookstores and select video stores. A true digital remaster of the film is still in planning which aims to scan the original 35mm negatives, and hopefully include behind-the-scenes features.
-November 20 - Congratulations to Mikhail Red for winning two first prizes at the recently concluded CCP Gawad para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video. Mikhail won in the short feature category for his short "Kamera", and in the experimental category for "The Threshold".
- Red was a speaker at Cinemanila's outreach program in Marikina City and at the Sine Taktakan forum at the 20th Gawad CCP para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video this November 18 and 19 respectively. Red continues to share his invaluable knowledge on alternative cinema.
July 25 - Raymond Red's Studies in Motion experimental video was a success as a video wall backdrop for the BENCH BLACKOUT Denim and Underwear Fashion Show held at the Araneta Coliseum. The show also featured the contributions of other artists - photographer Jun De Leon, graphic artist Abi Goy, and fashion designer Lesley Lobo. Show was directed by Ariel Lozada. May '08 - Raymond Red served as chief judge in the recently concluded BMW Shorties film competition sponsored by BMW Group Malaysia.
